Einstufung von Produkten mit Curcumin mit besserer Bioverfügbarkeit
Die Expertenkommission von BfR und BfArM hat eine neue Stellungnahme von Produkten, die Curcumin mit verbesserter Bioverfügbarkeit veröffentlicht. Sie kommen zu dem Schluss, dass Belege einer pharmakologischen Wirkung für eine Einstufung als Funktionsarzneimittel fehlen. Durch fehlende toxikologische Studien wird die Sicherheit der Produkte diskutiert sowie die  Argumentationskette einer Neuartigkeit der Produkte beschrieben.

Classification of products with curcumin with better bioavailability. The expert commission of BfR and BfArM has published a new opinion on products containing curcumin with improved bioavailability. They come to the conclusion that there is a lack of evidence of a pharmacological effect for classification as a functional drug. In the absence of toxicological studies, the safety of the products is discussed and the chain of arguments for a novelty of the products is described. (available only in German).
